The Formula: Ash and Ember Eye Soot is one of our most magical creations: intense, smoldering, everlasting color with a rich texture between powder and cream. Each nuanced eyeshadow shade offers incredible complexity; you can create a whole eye look with just one jar.

This is Amaranthine. This new limited-edition collection takes its name from a flower that never fades, and these shades hold that same magic: the cool glimmer of amethyst crystals still held under the earth, the wild blaze of liatris across undulating fields, the hush of dusk settling over wildflowers in eternal bloom. Alongside this release, Viridescent will also return for a limited time; these two lovingly-created odes to color will bloom together in a brief and beautiful moment.

This was my first time trying an eye soot and I picked up both colors of andromedas since I love everything they make. Olivine is more my jam but amethyst is still a lovely blackened base with purple sparkles. However the formula may not be for me. I didn't try it with a primer but after only 3 hours it had faded so much it looked like I had been wearing it for 15. I'll try with a primer next time but I really wish these had more staying power.
