Colorless, so not exciting as other RdF products are, but a real sleeper, so don’t pass it up. Leaves a beautiful finish on lips with long-lasting moisture. Amplifies natural lip color. Just love this.
The clear Thorn Bite reminds me more of a salve than a lipgloss which I really like. I wear it to bed and it leaves my lips very soft and moisturized in the morning.
Nice reddish brown. Very pigmented. (Rose fruit is a lot sheerer.)
This shade pulls a little more bright red on me, but I love it! I adore these formulas, I’m sensitive to a lot of sensory things as an autistic person and also struggle with sensitive skin and eczema, and these products are a godsend. Get it if you’re thinking of trying it, it’s so worth it.
Let me start by saying I wear this almost every day. I love it! I use it at night, I use it when I’m not wearing makeup, I wear it out with makeup, I wear it almost constantly. If you’re thinking about it, try it out!
I first tried this when it came in a skincare set, and I've repurchased several times now. It's thick but not sticky, moisturizing but doesn't immediately sink in, and definitely makes my lips look soft, supple, and plump. There is no cooling or burning, so it's comfortable as well. My only caveat, is that I don't care for the ginger scent/flavor. It's not offensive, and doesn't last long, but I would prefer something sweeter and less of a savory herbaceous note, like mint, rose water or orange blossom. (Or fruity, like apple or peach, but I think they select more "natural" notes intentionally.) It also makes an affordable, but slightly luxurious feeling gift.
